ABOUT CAT SAVERS INTERNATIONAL
A CDRS Benji Project Led by International Rescuer Justin Shea
Cat Savers International (CSI) is the global rescue arm of the CDRS Benji Project — created to protect cats in crisis, no matter where they are in the world. From remote islands to disaster zones, CSI responds to emergencies, strengthens struggling shelters, provides critical medical support, and partners with organizations in need of help.

At the heart of this mission is Justin Shea — a lifelong humanitarian, disaster responder, and internationally active animal rescuer whose work spans more than a decade across multiple continents.

ABOUT
JUSTIN SHEA
International Cat Rescuer
& Humanitarian
Justin Shea has dedicated his life to serving vulnerable communities — both human and animal. As the Assistant CEO of CDRS (2013–2025) and founding member of the CDRS Youth Volunteer Corps, Justin has spent years on the front lines of humanitarian response, disaster relief, and animal welfare.
His rescue work has taken him through:
Pakistan’s mountains, deserts, and megacities
Island communities in the Maldives
Hurricane disaster zones across the United States
Typhoon-hit regions in the Philippines
Flood-affected areas of northern Pakistan
Remote and underserved villages globally
Justin brings a rare combination of emergency logistics, veterinary support coordination, community training, and hands-on rescue skill to every mission he undertakes.

A LITTLE HISTORY
Before becoming known for international cat rescue, Justin spent years delivering humanitarian aid to people affected by natural disasters — including Hurricanes Maria and Harvey in the U.S., Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, famine relief in rural Pakistan, and earthquake rehabilitation in Azad Kashmir.
These missions shaped his deep compassion and the belief that every life matters, whether human or animal.

In 2024, Justin co-founded Cat Savers International — expanding CDRS’ mission to include urgent global support for cats in crisis. CSI now provides food, medicine, and aid to:
-
CDRS Benji cat shelters in Islamabad & Karachi
-
Feline Welfare Organization in Malé, Maldives
-
International rescue partners preparing for emergency missions (including a planned 2026 Gaza rescue effort)
